I offer an introductory telephone call for a conversation free of charge prior to starting therapy, where I invite you to ask any questions that you may have regarding the way that I work and what to expect.
Choosing to have counselling is a big decision and I like to use this time as an introduction and an opportunity for you to decide if you feel comfortable choosing me as your therapist.
I provide Face to face, Online and Telephone Counselling Sessions.
Before your first counselling session, I will email to you the Counselling Agreement and the Privacy Policy documents for your information.
The Counselling Agreement ensures that the counselling process will be performed in a safe and professional manner.
Please read the Privacy Policy - see link on this page.
Prior to confirmation of your first appointment for therapy, I will require you to sign a consent form stating that you are in agreement with the Counselling Agreement document and to confirm that you are happy with the way that your personal information will be collected, stored and used in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
During your first counselling session, I will carry out an assessment and ask you questions about why you wish to have counselling and what you hope to achieve.
I offer both short and long-term counselling with progress reviews at regular intervals.
Should you decide to go ahead with counselling, we will agree the number of counselling sessions and the date and time of the first session.
You are under no obligation to proceed with therapy following our conversation should you decide that it is not for you
